What is KrubKa?

Do my Thai contacts need to install anything?
No. Nobody else in the chat needs the app or an account. They just keep using LINE as they always have.
How much is free?
You get 50 free translations each month, shared between your 1:1 chat and the groups you're connected to. A group where nobody has connected KrubKa yet gets a one-time trial of 10 translations.
What does Unlimited cost, and what do I get?
$4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Your 1:1 translation becomes unlimited, and the groups you're in are covered for everyone under a generous fair-use ceiling.
Can it translate photos?
Yes, in your 1:1 chat: send a photo of a bill, letter, or sign and KrubKa explains what matters — the amount, the due date, what to do. Photos sent in group chats are not translated.
What about voice messages?
Not yet. KrubKa replies that voice isn't supported, and it doesn't use up any of your translations.
What is the KrubKa app for?
The bot works without it. The app adds sign-in, connecting your LINE account, seeing your usage and groups, choosing how your Thai sounds (ครับ or ค่ะ), and subscribing to Unlimited.
Can I pause it in a group?
Yes — type /pause in the chat to stop translating and /resume to start again. /krub and /ka switch your polite particle.
What happens to my photos and messages?
Photo and media bytes are processed in memory and discarded — never stored. Message text is processed to produce the translation. The privacy policy linked below has the details.
Does it translate other languages?
No — KrubKa does English ↔ Thai only, by design. Doing one language pair well is the whole point.
